Tell us Something we don't already know

Some of us got talking over lunch about how little we actually know about each other. When we get together we talk about speech-language pathology. We did try to make a rule at the Christmas party to not talk about school, but we soon realized that we have a hard time talking about anything else. Now granted school has been our life for the last few years, but hopefully there is more to us than just school. So, we need to learn more about each other.

So, you need to tell us something we don't already know about you. Something interesting that you are comfortable sharing with us. Hear is my interesting thing. I once had hair, and to prove it I’m adding a picture with me with hair:

Oh, and I play the guitar.

Heck Yeah!

Alexis, that is an absolutley novel idea. I was thinking we need to do something like that. However.... just another idea.... maybe we could do something in the evening. I mean OUTSIDE of the COMD building!! Like make reservations for 17 wonderful grad students (and spouse, boyfriend, girlfriend, friend, dog, etc.) at Cafe Sabor or some other wonderful place (McDonalds?) I am just brain storming. Who else has ideas?

party, anyone?

Is anyone up for a grad student get-together on Wednesday after our last final? I was thinking we could bring breakfast treats, fruit, breads, whatever, and just relax and celebrate being finished with the semester. We were also thinking it would be hilariously fun to set up Janet's "Dance Dance Revolution" video game, but we're not sure if her kids would trust a bunch of crazy twenty-somethings with the equiptment. So let's explore some other exciting possibilities too. :) Post comments to let me know if you're interested, and whether you have ideas to make this festivity... well... more festive!

Just testing the E-mail function

Did I tell you guys that you could e-mail blogs in. I have the address and I don't want to just post it, but if you would like to rather leave messages via e-mail let me know and I'll give you the address. Of course it would show up in my name so you'll have to state who you are so they won't think you are me.

Hi everybody! I figured out how to sign on to this thing!

I am so pleased...

...that we have our very own blog! Thanks for putting this together, Bob. You're great.

My one and only qualm with all this is that the title of the blog is a little dry if you ask me. ("The Blog of Bob," though... now there's good blog-naming.) I tried to come up with a clever alternate suggestion, but perhaps my brain is overloaded because nothing has come to mind. Anyone have any ideas?

P.S., for those who missed it, here is a direct quote straight from the mouth of Blog Creator Bob, eloquently spoken during the field trip to radiology this morning: "Yeah, Melia, how do you know that I haven't been flashing you all semester?"

Hello y'all

Okay, I hope that everybody enjoys this. If you have any questions let me know. I think everybody has my e-mail. I'll post a junk e-mail on here. I would suggest that you guys don't post your email or your phone number or whatever in case someone we don't know runs across this website.

If you'd rather have me post something for you then you can e-mail me whatever it is you want posted. I think there is away to be able to post just by sending an e-mail straight to the web-site. Holly brought up the fact that some websites have the option of sending you an e-mail whenever a new there is a new message. I don't know if that is an option, but I'll check it out.

Feel free to write whatever you want, but please refrain from blatant bad talking of fellow students and teachers. You don’t to be super careful; just don’t use this website as a place to bash on people. We don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

If there are any suggestions for the appearance or if there is anything we should add (like web links or something like that) then let me know.

USU SLPs from 2007

This is a blog for the graduates of the speech-language pathology program at Utah State University class of 2007. Okay, we haven't graduated yet, but we're almost done with our first year. I just wanted to get started making this website/blog for us to inform each other of coming events, ask each other questions about stuff, and to hopefully keep in touch in the future when we all go on and do our own thing in the real world.

Any suggestions would be appriciated as we're forming this blog.
